Indifference

In this world of grief and strife,

I carry with me, my one true companion.

This companion is indifference.

I walk through with him,

Never unhappy

Never unsure

For he keeps me level headed when times look dark.

I need him here with my, for with out him I'd fall apart.

I'm a cracked glass.

My indifference is the tape that hides the pain.

No one can get to me because I don't feel the venom in their words

Or see the ice in their stare

Or maybe the indifference has made me not care.
