Immersion (or the little I know when the struggle is over)

I know immersion.
The complete encapsuling.

Do you love?
It is different.
For each person-
Their own love,
An immersing love.

For me, words.
Reading, writing, speaking.

For him, me.
My every move,
my very life,
Each little fact.

Do you hate?
Feel the total
Of evil’s demands.
Commanding, prevalent hate.

For him, fear.
Of losing me,
Of destroyed friendship,
His lost control
Over my actions.

For me, him.
His sporadic aggressiveness
Emotional guilt trips
Yelling, crying, pleading
Apologizing too much.
The complete encapsuling
Of my life.

I know immersion.
