Mental illness is never taken as seriously as it is.

People critize and ridicule us with depression, saying

"Wow, you're such an attention-seeker."

If only they knew.

If only they knew that we believe the total opposite.

We believe that nobody cares, and nobody would notice if we were gone tomorrow.

If only they knew how much we cry ourselves to sleep, hoping not to wake up to see another day.

And as we drag the blade across our wrists and the blood trickles down,

We think "If only they knew".

If only they knew how serious mental illness was.

If only they knew.
