I Physically Can't

I am so unbelievably stubborn.
Existing inside me is this iron will,
My physical inability to let go
of anything I even remotely care about.
I can't give up.

Oh, I'm a pessimist for sure,
And when I get lonely
Things get really low for me,
But even when depression hits hard,
I can't give up.

As a relatively privileged teenager,
My life is easy and perfect.
Wrong. Every person has battles to face, but for me,
I can't give up.

Even as I desperately hoped to be taking
My very last breath
That very lost and lonely evening,
My iron will reminded me,
I will not ever give up.

Life is worth living. Never give up.
