I Am Not Nervous

I-am-not-nervous

Iamnotnervous.

Breathe

I am not nervous.

Really, I’m not.

I may look a wreck:

tired eyes and hair a mess,

dressed as if

I haven’t done anything

but study

for weeks

(to be honest,

I haven’t)

But…

I

am

not

nervous

And if I suddenly

get wide-eyed

and wonder loudly if I shouldn’t be doing practice problems or if I might suddenly forget Lagrange’s error or if the test is full of Riemann sums or if my alarm clock doesn’t go off or if I forget to pack a snack or if accidently find the derivative of the wrong equation or if my calculator fails me and runs out of battery or if, if, if…

It’s because

I’m

            not

                      nervous

                                       at

                                                all
