I Am Me

Location

In my place I am alone but not lonely

I am the wind and my friends are the trees,

I am the air running, sprinting, in an endless spree

In my place I can breathe

I can think, say, and do as I please!

For in this moment I cannot be seen

Soaring, shouting "I am fearless! I am free!"

I am who I am, and I am who I want to be

For the first time in my life,

I am me

This poem may be short and sweet but I wrote it with love and purpose. I believe that everyone goes through a time in their life when they have difficulty identifying who they really are. Discovering who you are and accepting you for you is the most uplifiting thing I have ever experienced in my life and I wanted to share this poem with everyone to show how beautiful it is to just be yourself! Go in peace and find your happy place!
