Hurtful Words

Why such hurtful words?

Did you enjoy the first time you got a tooth pulled cause your cravings called for sweets?

Did you find pleasure while falling from your bike, scraping a chunk of skin off your leg?

How about when you almost drowned at your first swimming lesson, having the whistle blow and all eyes caught on you.  Did that make you feel good?

Or maybe the time you had a solo part at the chorus concert. Family, friends, strangers; all coming to see what you have to offer though your so called "talents". The stage light shines upon you as your first note cracks like an egg accidentlty hitting the floor.  Muffled words and chuckles could be heard. I bet that made you happy didn't it?

What about the time you had a fight with your mother? All your intellect was questioned due to a singular piece of paper. Words shot at you so quickly you could barely respond.

How do the tears feel? Do you like when your mother yells at you? Do you smile when you can't amount to anything unless you have perfect grades?

When you have felt pain, would you want someone to carry the weight?

When you have been brought down, would you want someone to be taken with you?

I hope the hurtful words are worth while and brings the smile back to your face.
