Hurricane Heart

Location

Rings stretching from East to West formed in the crimson skies,

Glowing pink, orange, and yellow above the setting sun,

And when the sun finally set, no star shined, not one,

For a raging Shadow black as pitch consumed all that the stars comprise.

Heaven's floodgates flung open, unleashing all of Hell,

The Shadow roared in booming crackle and flickered with streaks of light,

He ripped ancient trees from the earth with unrelenting might,

The water climbed above the trees and surged with a fury none could quell.

But as the fierce Shadow swept over the land, the darkness drifted apart,

For all could see a circle of blue sky where the rain did cease,

The circle, though small, emitted sunlight and gave the people peace,

Although the Shadow leveled the land, there was still good in his heart.
