These are rights that are endowed to every human, rights that make us all equals.
I cannot live without human rights, taking away these rights takes away my humanity.
At least the country of freedom I live in respects and dares not to damage my rights as a human.
I have the right to freedom from degrading treatment, so no human will be treated with disrespect or unfairly or unjust.
I have the right to respect my private life, so my employers can't discriminate due to my sexuality and my government isn't constantly monitoring me.
My personal freedom isn't being compromised for national security.
I have the right to freedom of expression, so my work isn't shut down or hidden or censored because someone who has more 'power' does not approve of it.
I even have the right of assembly and association, so no policemen gas or hose protesters when there is no violence present.
I have the right to marry and start a family, so a government cannot put a restriction on who I wish to marry.
I have protection from discrimination, so the government will not say that I am in the wrong due to my race, sex, or religion.
I also have the right to an effective education, good thing a degree employers look for when hiring won't put me in a debt I will have to work my way out of for most of my life, if not all of my life.
I have the right to free elections, at least my vote really counts and isn't another illusion of my freedom.
If I am doing what I need to that is surviving. If I am doing what I want that is living.
I cannot live without my human rights, good thing they are not being challenged in the land of the free!
