I miss the green.
I miss the sweet sound of fresh fruits
Falling straight from its' trees.
I miss the roaring laughter of my family
As we reminisce on childhood memories.
The cool air light on my skin,
And the fresh breeze rich in oxygen.
The uniqueness in each plant passing by,
And bright colors painted across the sky.
Even the humid days without electricity,
The days without peace or serenity.
Even the mighty bites of mosquitoes
That cover my body head-to-toes.
I take the good with the bad
And the bad with the good.
I take it all, I miss it all.
I miss Pilipinas,
I miss my home.
