Hold me

Hold me. Hold me and don't let go. No matter what happens, promise me you'll stay. Promise me I will always have a place in your arms, but don't make a promise you can't keep. If you don't love me, don't say that you do - but if you do love me, then love me until I believe you. Show me what it feels like to be loved, because all I've ever known is the pain of abandonment. When I don't understand your love - love me until I do. When I don't want your love, love me anyways. When I tell you I can't, remind me that I can. When fear consumes me, comfort me, and when I get angry be patient, it won't last. There will be days, sometimes weeks where I feel broken, promise to love me regardless. Promise me this and I promise to love the way I have been loved. Promise to stay and I promise I'll never give you a reason to leave. Just promise me that once I say I love you - you won't leave. Hold me. Hold me and don't ever let go because I'm scared of losing what we have… Love always seems to leave me, promise it will be different this time: don't let me love you in vain - I'll give you my heart, just promise that you won't hurt me: I don't think I could handle the pain.
