My greatest mentor led me to befriend: 

Heroes 

& 

Criminals, 

Humans 

&  

Monsters, 

Revolutionists 

& 

Tyrants; 

Showing me 

The light in the dark 

& 

The dark in the light 

 

When my dad served for the US Navy 

When my mom served at a local hospital 

When my grandma lost her battle with cancer 

My mentor was there 

Leaving my side only to carry me through the worst 

 

The Lord’s love and guidance is 

Eternal 

And I will forever be thankful for all He has done,  

Not only for me, 

But for us all
