High Tides

Thu, 10/20/2016 - 09:08 -- DjGamer

The sea is mighty and great

With tides threatening to consume everything

The air is misty with the ocean spray

And loud with the wave's roar

The sight is a beautiful one indeed

And I hate that it won't last

For within the sea holds my demons

Threatening to drown me in my grief

I make my way to shore

Hoping my demons won't find me

But just as I come within reach

The demons have found me once more

They drag me under, to where it's deeper and darker

But I'm not going to stop fighting, until I drown my demons

So with my last ounce of strength, I break free from the claws

And when I make it back to shore, the waters are calm once more
