Here I stand

               Absolute

      The monsters rising up beside me

Clawing

         and grabbing

and pulling

I scream

    "I am no longer yours to have!"

Falling on deaf ears- the demons

          continue

I stand up tall; shedding my skin

Fire red comets fly up from the ground. 

I whirl 

and twirl

trying to avoid 

but it's all in vain

as I collide mid-pirote 

          with the bundle of fire that sends me careening 

through the air. 

They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

But this is a war that cannot be won. 

So where does that leave me? 

Left to wonder-as I tumble down

Nothing to stop me I will continue

I am my own entity 

No one else's

I will decide what to do next.
