The Heart's Destruction

Location

This world has a cold heart will someone warm it up?
I sit at the table with no one to pick up the other cup.
Inside me burns a fire that needs to be kindled
Don't get me mistaken I am great and I have not dwindled
I give you my heart and plead you to be careful
Only to pick up the pieces and regret being helpful
I look back on the past because it's full of regrets
A shame I make so many choices and lose all the bets
I hate being in love because I feel exposed
But I wear my heart on my sleeve so love obviously shows
I like how you play my heart as a toy
And fall for some other boy
But in the end it doesn't even matter
Because you can't break what you shatter
And You can't shatter what you break
So there's nothing at stake
A deep pain from the bottom of your heart
One that was planted there from the start
its like the feeling of falling into a deep dark lake
The feeling of staring into the dark never to wake
Heartbreak is an emotional and physical pain
As painful in your chest as it is in your brain
Leaving you thoughtless
Leaving you hopeless
Watching something that means everything say goodbye
Is like watching your hearts time limit run dry
The only answer in sight is to give up and die
Or to spend your life wishing that you could forget you tried
My mother broke my heart before any woman could
She also walked in and out of it like every woman would
Love can be the dagger that severs your lungs and takes your breath away
Or love can be the savior that keeps you going every day
Once heartbroken you understand the foolishness of loving someone
Yet at the same time your glad you were a fool because it's an experience for everyone
All I'm honestly saying is forget love I'm tired of trying
I hate the lies, I'm tired of lying
My mind has been in the clouds too long, I'm tired of flying
Every heartbreak is like dying again and I'm tired of dying.
