He Belonged Somewhere I Cannot Understand

Close to God, his conversations eased his pain

He seemed to freeze the frames

He cheated fame because to me I believed the blame

What a shame

I came to the conclusion that the contusion in his brain

Profusely confused the overly used channel I couldnt change

Every early morning picture of water so still

Brings a chill

Was it necessary for a family to see a man who was going home?

Was it necessary to have us fill the memory on a digital card?

With memories that needed to wound a brittle heart?

I wish could hug and talk and bullshit and hang out but I cant

August was your homecoming God turned the light on

You loaded up the shotgun because your head couldnt fight on

Stuck the barrel to your chest looked to the sky until the boom

My dear dear Uncle I will see you soon...
