How I greet the day

is by meeting you by the bay

remembering the soft, but strong kisses

that I'll always miss

Hearing your laughter resonating;

Seeing your smiles while skating;

    All floating further

                                and further

                                                   and further  away from me

Never coming back.

But I'll remember the promise I made

to be strong and confident like a lion

to be as kind as a bunny
