The Greatest Game Ever Played

Once I step inside those lines,

my mind is completely set free.

A place where nothing else matters,

just the batter, the ball, and me.

I look in to get the sign,

I'm focused on the glove.

The game I've played since I was young,

the game I truly love.

I begin my wind-up,

a fastball towards home plate.

A swing and a miss, a called strike three,

this game is truly great

A rush of victory,

the feeling of success.

I am thankful every day,

to play this game, I'm Blessed.
