Goodbye Depression

Location

Goodbye depression,

I don't need you here,

You haven't been my friend,

And you certainly haven't been dear.

Goodbye depression,

The days are long gone,

Where I longed for my end,

And hummed to your deadly song.

Goodbye depression,

I don't want you to linger here anymore,

You've hurt me so much,

I can't imagine what else is in store.

Goodbye depression,

You made me wake every morning with dread,

For every second that followed,

And left me motionless on that hospital bed.

Goodbye depression,

I'll always have your scars,

But you haven't won this fight,

I no longer wish to be a lifeless soul among the stars.

But thank you depression,

For you have made me strong,

In the event of your return,

Which I know might not be very long.
