Give Me Freedom or Give Me Death

Give me freedom or give me death

-That is something I won't say

But take my beliefs and I'll have nothing left

I'd rather you take my possessions instead

Than my passions like fire that refuse to proclaim

"Give me freedom or give me death"

Take my desires and you'll take my breath

Take my arms and I will not sway

But take my beliefs and I'll have nothing left

Take my warmth, my comfort, my health

But to bend my will and to make me obey

Give me freedom or give me death

Take my loved ones with your murderous theft,

Your wicked words, the foul games you play

But take my beliefs and I'll have nothing left

Take everything you want- my body, my head

-For after I pass my legacy will still remain

Give me freedom or give me death

But take my beliefs and I'll have nothing left
