The Girl

If I could tell you who I am in their eyes

I would only need but two syllabols

The Girl

nothing more nothing less, I am the girl

I am the over looked, the unappreciated, the undervalued girl

I am the door mat

I lead you to open doors and various oportunities

that leads you to the better life

On the other side of me

I am the switch that turns on light on the room

But the bulb gets all the shine

I will always be there for you but how long will your watts last for me

I am the begininning that will connect to your end

It will never make sense until you look back a long time from now and realize

I was that friend that always gave my all even when you didnt

I am the daughter

I am not worth the Glitz and Glamour

Or even being called or referred to by name.

Because I am neither the son nor the first born

They are put on a higher pedistal

I just clean it

I am at the bottom of the pyramid

With the blocks of the world stacked on top of me

I am under all this pressure yet they still expect me to hold up and still rise

But I dont mind

Because what I got on my side are diamonds and rubies and pearls

They've all been under the pressure of the world

And they made it

But took endurance time and strength

knowing that one day they will be able to shine

And I will make it

I will try I will strive I will fight I will fall I will cry I will get back up

I will try I will strive I will fight I will fall I will cry I will get back up

I will try I will strive I will fight I will fall I will cry I will get back up

If I could tell you who I am in my eyes I wouldnt need any syllables

I am  indescribable unatainablee I am inevitable
