Why do we scar kids by putting them in boxes

at such young ages?

That’s the smart class, that’s the dumb class,

everyone knows who’s in what,

and those cages have walls of titanium.

Everybody gets the short end of the stick.

The “dumb” kids start to believe it, and

the “smart” kids are under such pressure to perform,

their biggest fear becomes failure.

I’m not saying I have the answer,

but our system of education just isn’t working.

What kids need is an equal shot,

not some half-assed continuation of a toxic situation.
