Getting to Know You

Understanding that not everything is what it seems was the first step.

No one really knows what is going on inside the other person’s head; I’ve always known that

Concealment can be deadly. Why didn’t you speak about the

Lack of love in your heart, not even a warning? Not even a cry for help. I guess

Even the most beautiful of men have hidden circles beneath innocent eyes.

Pushing my Aunt for answers because my mother will never know.

Hear the hurt that echoes from memories and heal the hearts that were broken.

I wish I felt pain but, in my mind, I have accepted your fate as non-existent. Thus,

Lamenting because I love your unknown voice.

I’m.

So. sorry.
