Full Force

Location

I'm used to being pushed off the road
Getting lost in an unknown world
Not knowing where to turn
Lost in a heavy fog that doesn't clear
Forging my way through the troubles life throws at me
It's not something that happens just once
It's something that reoccurs
Something I cannot escape
Though each time, I try to anyway
I try to escape being thrown off the trail I walk
I try and tie myself down which only makes it worse
I hate being the one taken away
I want to be lost on purpose this time
I want to walk off the trail on my own
Prepared to deal with whatever comes at me
I want to walk and leave the world behind
I want to keep on walking
I don't know where I am going
Or where I'll end up
All I know is that I don't want to be forced away
I want to go on my own free will
I feel like taking a step out the door
Only looking back once to say goodbye
And then never set eyes on that doorstep again
I want to just look towards what lies ahead of me
Rather than looking back and remembering
Yes, I remember the good times,
That's why it makes it harder
I remember those times and know they will never come back
I won't have it again
That's why I can't look back any longer
I can't keep looking at what I did wrong anymore
It's time to take care of myself
And the only way for me to do that is walk
I will keep walking till my feet grow tired and I'm content at where I stand
I want to be able to look around me and know
Everything will be alright
So before life can grab me by the ankles
And drag me away unexpectedly
I'm going to look life straight on
And walk towards it
Unafraid and prepared for whatever it gives me
I don't want to hurt any longer
I don't want to feel what I used to feel
I am not the same person I was before
So I'm walking towards life
Straight on, unafraid
I know that life is going to give me troubles and gifts
But I'm prepared for whatever it gives me
I'm prepared to have life come at me full force
Right
