Everyday is the same as yesterday

I fight to be a new me but it always flees

The chance to change my families name itches at my mind

That new me must come up and rise

I see the struggles my parents go through for me to get my degree 

The degree that one day will allow me to be free and go on to help them with whatever needs

My mind slowly changes

Into a character not recognizible by me

Still that new me feels like a flower about to bloom

I want to make my parents proud and I know how

By getting my degree even if it isnt debt free

By being the first person of my entire family to finish a high level of education

And by showing my sibilings that mind over matter will help you achieve graduation
