This Fight I Go Alone

Location

What did I do wrong to make you hate me?

Is this the will of God or just of life?

Why do you pretend that you are friendly,

When all you do is cause a person strife?

No matter what the cost, I want you out,

But you will stay and act like you are nice,

And blunder up and down and all about,

Like fooling all her loved ones will suffice.

I never asked you for the pain you gave,

When you were just a baby first in stage,

And now that I can see you are a knave,

A battle with you now must I engage.

This fight will not be easy, that I know,

My mother's life's at stake, I go alone.
