Up ahead, amid the dirt lies the fence.
Tall and wide, black and tied
it stands. It's forbidden, it's inhumane.
For it separates people,
and people's pain.
Known as a barrier to hopes
and dreams. Its slopes
stretch out, ignoring yelps
and screams. It prevents union,
it prevents love, its prevents
those thought unworthy that
want to reach above.
Two countries it marks,
the end and the start.
Two stories it sells,
one is only hailed.
Its existence must be slashed,
for its time has passed.
The future we must face,
we must take down that fence.
