Fallen Angels

I do not belive in them

But there are gods amongst us

Covering their ears

Trying to block out the sins of this world banging against their skulls

I am no saint

But I wish I could be your angel

Clipped wings or not

I wish I could open your eyes to just how beautiful you are

Crippled limbs and broken halos

I wish I could uncover those hazel orbs

And protect you from these sins

For you deserve more than this world

And their unholy ways
