Expectations

Location

Your expectations are too high for me

I'm not yet ready to climb such a height

Images of things I could never be

I know I might choose wrong, instead of right

Be mad, just don't have that look in your eye

This will just lead to a whole 'nother fight

Scream, yell, don't leave me with that heavy sigh

I'm sorry I can't be your perfect child

I just can't find my truth in your lie

I know you'll try to figure where I went wild,

But take a closer look at the real me

Think about it, was I ever that mild?

Look past the wall of what you want to see

Your expectations are too high for me
