Exhausted

Location

Time has passed,

The pain still lasts,

And I’m still hesitant to write,

Issues and pains,

They still remain,

From this plight, I beg flight,

My father coped with pipes,

Thus, with me, he lost stripes,

And though he’s trying to do right,

I will no longer try,

I shed all tears,

I will no longer cry,

I gave all ears,

Can no longer listen,

To a man whose mind is locked in a prison.
