Easy

So nervous, my body began to feel like it wasn’t really mine
He smelt of whiskey and smoke, had the coldest hands I’d ever held
He said so much but my brain was louder than his voice
I couldn't hear him ask if I were okay

His words muffled and blended into my ears
While his hand grazed the skin on my shoulder
His fingers crept to the back on my neck
Skin bubbling with goose bumps

My brain set on fire.

He had a way like that—
His fingers were matches
Hovering the puddles of static gasoline
That drowned my mind

Finally, a feeling with force
A feeling with desire
Finally a feeling at all

Shaking fingers unravel my clothes
His tongue exploring my skin

I closed my eyes
I let him in
