Drawer of Broken Hearts
There comes a time when there's no way out,
The fire's barely burning, no one hears you shout.
There comes a time when the sun doesn't shine,
The shadows move in, clouding your eyes.
You look up, just barely an ounce of hope.
And you think you can cope.
But darling, there's a hidden drawer in my dresser,
The one that's locked, a continual stressor.
Inside, I'll allow you to look,
It's the story of my life, a novel, a book.
The many loves, the many hearts,
The ones boys have taken and torn apart.
