Disobedience - Thishe Bennett

Disobedience,

An intolerable act

Defiance,

The tactic of a child

Turned into a beautiful form of crying, screaming, or yelling.

Disobedience,

An unseeming account

From day job’s workers

To retaliations and unpaid brokers

Disobedience,

Defiance,

A king who was always so tyrant.

Corrupt governments

and unjust laws

Broken pieces and disheveled halls.

Disobedience in me

Raised the question of uncertainty.

Protested jobs and a protested voice

The dark color windows blacken

For there is something that mustn’t be seen.

That must be disobedience for me…

For disobedience is the unwritten key to mortality.
