Disconsolation

You hope for days that she is going to get better
You talk her down from ledges
You coax her away from the pills
You spend every waking moment making sure it’s not her last
You go to bed wishing you wake up and still have your best friend
You overcome your fears to save her from hers
You remind her everyday that life is worth living when you don’t even think so yourself
You have done all you can to help her, but who’s helping you?
