Deliverance from Fear

There was a time when I was trapped by fears

No day went by I didn't shed tears

Haunted by these worries, counting every scar and ache

It seemed every moment I could feel my heart break

So I prayed one day, God I wished to hear

To free me, to wipe away every tear

He found me shackled and bind

A smile on His face warm and kind

"Lord," I said, "what am I to do, all this weight upon me how will I pull through?"

So He said to me, "My child don't be afraid"

"For I made you"

"I know your struggles and what you must do"

"Fear not the things you can't control"

"For I protect your very soul"

"Don't doubt who you are, you know how you were made"

"And the name Child of God will never fade"

"My Lord," I said, "I know to go to you, but how shall I break these chains there is no key I see."

The Lord held out His hand, "Just trust me."

I took his hand, I watched the chains rust

They fell from my wrists, and turned to dust

The Lord said, "Trust me and you shall be free."

"Though you will endure struggles, relinquish them to me and they won't hold you bind"

"Look to me in this battle and you shall find"

"No matter what you go through I won't leave you behind"

"Though the enemy shall attack, look to me, and fee you shall be"

Lord I thank you for your endless love

As you watch us all in your kingdon above

Praises be to you God near and far

You deserve it it's who You are

I pray all with struggles turn to you

So you may show them the path that is true

So let your great guidance and teaching to those lost begin

In Jesus precious and Holy name.

Amen.
