Dedication to Education

Location

A shriek in the middle of a night

From the face of a child of God

Long forgotten

By those who once were so dear to her

And this is a typical night, composed of agony and regret

To come home from a day of studying and inquiry

Into a darkened world blackened by the depths of betrayal

And still I stay, I stay in this school of mine

To better my life, to lengthen my soul

Expand my mind and fight for my intellect

"WHERE'S DADDY?"- to be compared to anthropology, astronomy..

A question I can not answer, only merely listen to

Through the throat of a child I care for

And still I stay, I stay in this school of mine

Reminding myself of my place in the world

As a student

As a sister

As an existing being.
