A Decision

I am in love with my future

Yet, I cheat on her with my past

The ghosts in the mirror

I take a step back

My demons with me in every step

I turn the nobs on the sink

Warm water

I rinse my face

Check the mirror again

Everything remains as it was

Haunting me every waking moment

Searching for redemption

I must escape my history

I turn away for comfort

There are the answers

All I have to do is reach the bottom of the bottle

Though false, they are fimiliar

Break the cycle

End the agony

Every morning

Before I refresh my eyes

And rejuvenate myself

With a splash of life

I hold in my tow hands

One bottle

One 9mm

On the floor lies a tattered bible

On the bed a broken photograph
