Dear Mr. Anonymous

To the man who calls himself a father

Hello dad…

Or Mr. Anonymous if you will

I would simply love to know

Where have you been

I mean with all due respect Mr. Anonymous I think  your first born child deserves a little more of an explanation after 13 years of silence

So hello sir .. how have you been

Afterall I don’t think it would be appropriate to call a stranger my father

You were a long way from that title

but please

Try to explain to my 17-year-old mind on why I should care if you disappear from my life again

Dear daddy...

Buying me a few items for once in 16 years does not make you my father

Calling to see how my day is going once every few weeks does not make you a man

But I guess I'm still your little girl since you love playing games with me as if I were a child...

I can tell your favorites are

Peekaboo

So you can disappear and reappear as often as you please

Hide and seek … just without the seeking

Until you feel like you deserve pity from me

BUT YOU'RE ALSO GREAT AT JOKES

Such as knock knock

I say who is there but no one seems to answer

So DEAR DADDY

DEAR MR. NO SHOW

DEAR MR ANONYMOUS

DEAR FREAKING WHODEANIE

Since you only show up when you feel like playing make believe do me a favor and stay gone this time

Its funny

People tell me I shouldn't totally close the door but little do they know I have been the one trying to open it

And my mother has managed to raise me all on her own

I don't need your help to become the woman of any man’s dream so congratulations

You were somewhat able to be apart of the making

But just cause you helped create me

Doesn't mean you get to be called daddy

So thank you for showing me how a man should never treat me

Sincerely an anonymous daughter
