Dear Grandma

Feb. 5, 2018

Dear Grandma,

You are amazing:

A shoulder to cry on, with ears to listen, eyes to watch out for, and words to teach, you pave the way for those who hold you close.

You are selfless:

Always giving even if you’re not receiving and putting yourself last, at times it’s frustrating to watch, but at least I know where I got it from.

You are kind:

A true example of generosity at its finest with a heart of gold.

You are hardworking:

The confidence and courage you displayed by going back to college later on in life is something not many people have with straight A’s to boot.

You are inspirational:

Not just to me, but to everyone around you. You inspire me to do more, do better, and be better than all of the weights and hardships that may come my way.

You are appreciated:

Honestly more than you will ever know. You’re my best friend, my rock, my support, and my biggest cheerleader.

You are loved:

Words can’t do it enough justice, but loved so deeply and truly by your family and friends. I’m so proud of you, inspired by you, and can’t even imagine my life without you.

Love your favorite (only) granddaughter,

Shayna Gonzalez
