A Darkness Overcome

Location

Sitting here all alone, or so it may seem;

The darkness sweeping over you, a terror not a dream.

Why must this darkness linger here, destroying what we know?

The struggle befalls rather quickly; it is the fear we musn't show.

For as the sun ascents, we begin to comprehend;

There is a light that will show, with one small amend.

A little bit longer, is all it takes for some;

To find that newfound light, a darkness overcome.
