The Darkness

Beneath the moonlight

I make my way,

Clearing out the fog

From the glare of day.

The darkness tempts

But does not take.

She dances to me,

But does not seduce.

I do not deny her,

With the glimmering stars

That fall in her eyes.

She is with me always;

Sometimes fighting the demons

When they do not play,

And sometimes she walks with me,

When I escape the light of day.
