A cold sea a burning star

i am not a tropical oasis
my waves don't lap at your toes
while you bask in a glowing sun
you can't retreat to a cool shade
if that's what you want i will not be your solace

i am not a cool fall rain
my touch can't quench your thirst
when you're tired of the heat
you can't look to me for a calming breeze
if that's what you want i will not be your solace

i am not a mountain meadow
my wisps and tufts won't bring relief
when you want a quiet, beautiful scene
you can't take what you want and leave
if that's what you want i will not be your solace

i am a cold sea
i am a burning star
i am a vast desert
i am a storm
i am to be feared

if you can handle that
i will be your shade and your breeze
i will be all you want and more
and i will let you take what you want

if you don't leave
