The Clock is Ticking

Location

Our clock is ticking
As our last years are coming to an end
A time when we leave our childhood years,
When we leave all our old friends.
The old tree dies
And the new roots begin
As we part our separate ways
Into the next hour of life

When you stumble upon
A big con
or when you make a mistake
Don’t be frightened
Just move on
Learn from your old ways
But also, tell your heart to stay calm

There will be courage,
Yet there will be fear
As we step into the vast unknown,
Into our new tier
Of life, we will grow up
And we will get beat down,
But hold your head up high
And stick around.

Our clock is ticking
But don’t let it fly away,
So live this one
Like it’s your last day.
