The Cinderella Ball

waltzing, with clarity, with passion

the body moves how the voice knows not

to speak

with one’s feet paints a most vibrant picture

of the soul

reach out, extend the arms

a welcoming embrace

within reach

a tender hand offered back

reciprocity of ardor, the most hypnotizing trance

in another lifetime

a universe not yet known

syzygy not of celestial objects

but of beings

our star-crossed lovers

come together once more—
