Children

Location

One year we were children,

With dreams and hope,

The next we're adults,

Who have sex and smoke.

Who decided sixteen was so

Old?

Who decided we're ready,

For this world so cold?

Driving after

Dtinking,

The sound of glasses

Clinking.

Our friends' laughter

Fill our heads.

All those sad stories,

In the papers we read,

"It'll never be us",

We always said.

Look at us now,

Abused,

Broken,

Dead.

Look at us NOW,

Our eyes so dull,

How many of us,

Do you still know?
