Chemical World

Diseases are taking over
And sicknesses have prevailed
In this chemical world of ours
Man playing God has failed.

And it's not just the pills we take
But the chemicals in our stuff
Chemical food, chemical clothes
All these toxins—I've had enough.

Life is not artificial
So why are flavors and colors
Why are clothes and kitchenware—
Furnishings, carpet and others?

And so I'd rather be wearing
Some cotton, silk, linen or wool
To hell with chemical fibers
And fortified food and swill.

Give me some stuff grown in dirt
Food from a natural field
Don't spray the earth with chemicals
Let nature give us her yield.

Darkened and shadow inflicted
This chemical life is insane
And so the planet gets sicker
Bearing its billions in pain.

Diseases are taking over
And sicknesses have prevailed
In this chemical world of ours
Man playing God has failed.

Created and made to sustain
With nature supplied for our care
Let's return to a natural life
And enjoy our sustenance there.
