Cacophony

A cacophony is a multitude of sounds,
Sounds that echo through your head, pound in your heart, and block the world out,
A cacophony,
The sound of an orchestra tuning right before the great show, the trills scrape against your ears like a branch scratching at your window,
A cacophony,
Then silence, following the melody,
The world is all in tune, no other place but here,
Look outside the scratched window, take a breathe of fresh air,
A calmness fills you, how mystical the world seems,
This is life, of which we have no other,
Pleasure is found through the pain which we suffer.

This poem is about:
Our world
