I was just in the 1st grade then.

The bus driver had assigned me a seat

That is when we would finally meet.

You use to tease me everyday

Yet we were still friends, in a strange way.

Shocked and surprised I was.

The day you gave me chocolates on the bus.

February 14, was the day then

Switched schools you later did

Life wasn't the best for you as a kid.

You changed when you came back

Happiness is what you lacked.

I was in 7th grade when

You were not my bus buddy again.

Friends I still considered us

But one day it all changed on the bus.

One day I got on,

You seemed a little withdrawn.

Little did I know?

That was the last day, you would show.

I got on the next day

Dead silence as we prayed.

Your life was too much for you to handle

It soon blew out, like a short wick candle.

I know were not that close then

Oh how I'll never forget when...

My bus buddy is forever lost

At a very tremendous cost.
