Blessed Solitude

Location

A love is something that should cause no tears

I had my share of hopeless sighs and yet

I'm free of care without a cause to fear

The bliss of freedom will help me forget

The pain of being bound by love at all

When now the pain with me is light as air

And all through winter, summer, spring, and fall

I will not sense the smallest, slightest care

For memories of days that are the past

Were not made just for me to mourn or miss

These carefree times have habit not to last

No need to waste a single tear on this

I need not any love beside my own

Lonely, yet I'm pleased to be alone
