When you see me you would think,
There goes a strong young man.
Never close to breaking him,
He feels as much as a tin can.
And if you asked me now,
this is what I'd tell.
I've never shed a tear
When my life is hell.
Sure things get pretty hard,
But cry? I never could.
I'm made of steel and iron
My heart is carved of wood.
But when I hold a pencil
and place it on the lines
I can tell you how I feel
through metaphores and rhymes
I could never say directly
for fear of looking weak
But writing poetry gives me
A chance to finally speak.
